Racial humiliation breaks a young child,
Culturing gloom in the darkness.
Whipped by his father,
Deep-seated depression rose:
Only amplified by intellect and wisdom.
Out of attempted suicide,
Was born a spiritually moral pastor,
A human with a simple dream.
That little girls and little boys
Would hold hands.
Together.
From the back of the bus
To the front of a crusade.
His voice has been silenced,
But his vision lives ever in his wake.
